My Project

I teach third graders in a rural school in the heart of the Midwest. I want to continue to provide a literacy rich environment that encourages students to "steal time" to read.

Kids' interests and tastes are always evolving and changing.

My classroom library should be evolving and changing along with it. I want to provide my students the books that interest them and also reflect the diverse world many of them have not yet had the opportunity to explore.

My students are avid readers and have a true love for learning. I look forward to them finding themselves lost in a good book.

These books will continue to enhance the print-rich classroom that I strive to create. My classroom library is a place my students really enjoy. My current students are really interested in graphic novels and non-fiction. The best way to increase reading ability is to read more. These books would excite my students and spark their interest in new books. They will be eager to read and will grow stronger as readers.
