My Project
We are requesting costuming pieces and costuming supplies for our upcoming production of Beetlejuice, Jr. The junior production of Beetlejuice requires a large ensemble in addition to the main cast, many of whom require more than one costume. We need fabrics and trims to create the costumes, wigs for a variety of characters and
Costumes are crucial to a production, as they help actors get into character and assist with setting the mood, tone and setting of the show.
The majority of our costumes (with some exceptions, of course!) are made in house, and then managed and cared for by a team of student wardrobe technicians. They learn organizational skills and time management, as well as to help the cast with their costume changes. We strive to make the theater experience at our school as authentic as a professional theater, teaching our students the skills they would need to go out into the theater world at large.
Our students are eager and enthusiastic young actors and technical crew members. They come together from all walks of life to create a true theater family.
These items requested in this project will appear onstage in our upcoming production, and then saved in storage to be potentially used in future productions, so a donation today could go further than just the upcoming school year, and benefit even more students.
