it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
As a drama teacher I spend my days introducing my students to the wonderful and exciting world of theatre. Every day we bring our imaginations to life through drama. Our talented and driven students are hard at work producing our production of the Little Mermaid.
We would love to take our “Rising Stars” to the ultimate theatrical experience...Broadway as a celebration of all their hard work and dedication.
Frozen the musical is our goal. I would love our students to be able see performers that look like themselves performing on the big stage; to see their faces lighting up the way mine did when I was first exposed to theatre, and still does. Please help us bring this amazing experience to this awesome and special group of children. Anything and everything is very much appreciated. Thank you all!
My Project
My amazing school is located in the Bronx and caters to very low income students. Our “Bees” are so excited for the opportunity to actually attend a Broadway show. They are currently working on their own production of Alice in Wonderland. They are singing and dancing their hearts out Tuesday’s and Wednesday’s every week preparing for their show in May. We would love to give them the opportunity to see an actual Broadway production. The musical Frozen would be an amazing culmination of their amazing work. I am so lucky to teach such loving and appreciative students.For some of them, this will be a once in a lifetime experience. Theatre is a gateway to their beautiful imaginations.
