I am the Instructional Technology Facilitator at a STEM school with a lot of technology and 1200 students. The school is 10 years old and is a neighborhood school with a lot of support from the community. The students are very well rounded with a lot of expertise and knowledge of many different subjects. They have access to many different online and hands-on experiences. However, with over 1200 students, we need to add more technology to our inventory in order for all students to be able to use these resources!
My Project
BeeBots are fun and easy coding robots that all ages enjoy using to code. These robots are very versatile and can be used with almost any subject, grade level and skill level. These robots encourage collaboration amongst the students, which is a skill that many students these days lack.
At this moment, we have 10 BeeBots.
That is just not enough for our very large school.
These robots will be used in a STEM school of over 1200 students. Not only will they be used during classroom instruction in Kindergarten through fifth grade classrooms, but they will be used in our STEM encore class and for our coding/robotics clubs.
More than a third of students from low‑income households

This project will reach 800 students.
