Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

We are starting up a coding program to help build foundational skills and understanding of computer science concepts.

What better way for students to learn problem solving than through learning coding.

One of the benefits of students learning code in school is that it is hands on, live, right in front of them.

Computer science in one of the leading industries in our society. By teaching students problem solving though coding we are giving them the opportunity to be better prepared for the industry.

In order to build foundational computer science concepts skills we will need: a dash robot to learn to tell robots what to do by writing code. STEM activities will help improve writing skills, but also gives students valuable mathematic skills.

These robots and STEM activities will help students improve computational thinking, encourage persistence, and teach creativity.
