My Project

I am a social worker at an Early Childhood center. Sometimes our young students have difficulties describing their emotions. With the social emotional learning tools I am requesting, our students will be able to build friendships, and strengthen emotional health. These resources will provide my students with valuable practice of working together to express their emotional feelings and express empathy for others. When working with young children, counseling works best through play.

The LEGO I am requesting will help children identify emotions at home, in school and in the community.

The Play-doh mats will help them understand that their feelings can be changed with learned strategies. The puzzles will help teach them these strategies by having them discuss feelings and how they make them feel.

Being an Early Childhood Social Worker is very important because the strategies young students learn now are the blueprint to becoming mentally healthy and compassionate humans. Your generous donation or contribution will help many young students today and in the future realize their emotional intelligence.
