Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

We are a small (only 8 teachers) Title I school where 90% of our students receive free or reduced-price lunch. My students come from a low socioeconomic neighborhood. Parents have to work long hours to provide for their families. Many of my students do not have the resources at home to be successful in Virtual Learning.

My students need resources that they can use at home to be successful in this unprecedented time.

They need books, flashcards, games, and other hands-on resources that otherwise they would have in school.

My Project

These materials will help my students tremendously. My students have the disadvantage of coming from a low socio-economic background. Their parents cannot afford to buy them books or other resources to help them. This will give them that advantage that other more affluent students have.

Its hard to stare at the computer for a long time, especially Kindergarteners!

The students will have books and flashcards that they can practice at home with. That they can look at and follow along with the teacher and practice. This will encourage them to become successful readers at home.
