This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My classroom is designed to allow students to explore through play! I live by the quote, "If a child can't learn the way you teach, maybe we should teach the way they learn" Ignacio Estrada. I am constantly finding new ways to improve my teaching while fueling success for my students!

My classroom is filled with eighteen, energetic, 4 and 5-year-old students.

They are all motivated by success and have a huge passion to learn. On any given day I can ask them if they are ready for a busy day. They will always respond with a unanimous yes! My students are willing to not only learn, but teach their peers when they can. Our school is located in the Bronx. Our first second program hopes to provide the best education possible with the supplies available to us.

My Project

Teamwork, communication, and real life skills are always a huge focus in my classroom. Building with blocks and real life tools will encourage students to create conversations with their peers that will foster team building. The Kids Around the World Block Play People will expose students to the diversity that is apparent in the word around us. The Lakeshore Community Block Play People will expose students to the various careers that are available to them. The Nature Blocks are an open ended tool that will allow students the opportunity to express their creativity while developing fine motor skills. The Build-It-Yourself Woodworking Kit will allow students to create projects using tools that will build real life skills.

By donating these tools you will encourage students to have the tools necessary for creating an environment that engages students in communication, teamwork, and real life skills.

My students have the need and want to learn. These tools will play a huge role in the development of these vital skills.
