My Students

They are eager explorers wanting to know more about the world around them. They are at the age where everything is interesting and they want to know more about everything. The main question they always ask is why? They are very playful and outgoing and love to come to school and hate for the weekend to come, because they will be away from their friends and teachers, their home away from home.

Our students live by the DRIVE (Determination, Respect, Integrity, Voice and Engagement) Values.

My Project

The folders, plastic pockets and other math tools I am requesting are for my students to become great mathematicians by being organized, and hands-on math manipulatives. We are starting Guided Math Instruction and the tools I requested we help us be organized as well as give us tools such as dice, dominoes, fact family cards to have hands-on learning. This organization tools such as folders, iris cases and zipper pockets will help our class be independent and get the materials they need without asking a teacher for help. We will use the dice in a different math centers to help us with adding or subtracting. We will use the dominoes for a Fact Fluency Game to keep our brains quick. We will will use the folders to help us keep our materials organized for each of our groups.

1st grade is such an important grade to learn all the basics of math and what better way can my students learn through hands-on instruction and math games.

By donating to our project my students will have the access to the improve their mathematics skills and become great mathematicians ready for 2nd grade.
