Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I have motivated students who are interested in learning the upright bass this year. Learning to play upright bass can be challenging, especially when students are playing on instruments that are too large for their size (it's the only thing we have). However, these determined students are committed to learn, despite the obstacles they might face.

To make their learning journey easier, I am requesting two stools, a new bass bow, and triple A batteries for their chromatic tuners.

The two stools will be shared among the bass players, allowing them to practice while sitting/leaning, instead of standing for the majority of rehearsal. It will help with playing fatigue. I am requesting a new bass bow to help replace a broken one. Finally, the triple A batteries will be used in our classroom tuners to help all of the string students tune their instruments independently before we start rehearsal.
