Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My 1st grade students are a curious, active, and interesting group. My students love to go online, learn new games, and participate in group activities. Some of my students are still learning to adapt to this country, while others come from families with low-income. They have many needs and I always try to accommodate them as much as possible.

I like to use technology to effectively complement my instructional strategies and my students' learning needs.

My students enjoy playing educational games and watching videos about learning. Many of my students don't have access to technology in their homes and are unable to complete certain assignments due to the lack of resources. My goal is always to make sure my students have the tools they need and feel motivated and excited about learning. In my classroom, we build relationships, practice great behavior and morals, and learn to work together as a team.

My Project

In order to ensure that I am able to provide my students with the necessary tools they need to be successful, I need to grow as a professional. I am constantly searching for professional development courses and workshops that can help me improve as a teacher. Many workshops and courses require that you bring a laptop for the class. This laptop will help me take notes during my courses, keep track of lessons and assignments, and make it easier for me to stay organized with my work. This will also benefit my students because I can use it to provide better instruction during distance learning and conduct online meetings throughout the school year.
