Our students here at Sellers MS come from hard working parents most of them are new to the country. Thus presenting several challenges for the students as well the parents. However, the students are eager to meet these challenges. We would like to provide a unique yet rewarding opportunity for learning.
I would like to start a book study with my students.
The book I am choosing will provide tools to help my students overcome adversity and to encourage them to create a mindset to pursue a path of high achievement. The title of the book is "Way of the Warrior Kid: From Wimpy to Warrior the Navy Seal Way"" by Jocko Willink.
My Project
My students need to increase their reading skills. The best way to do that is to provide them with books that will excite them. The book I have chosen for our student lead book study is "Way of the Warrior Kid: From Wimpy to Warrior the Navy Seal Way" by Jocko Willink. Education is changing every single day, and so are the interest of my students. Students in my classroom face many challenges in their lives and reading this book will help them to develop a mindset that will help them to overcome the adversities they face. My students like to read about superheroes and villains. This book provides lessons and activities that will teach my students how to meet challenges they will face in their lives.
Students who read this book will find reading fun and begin to read more for enjoyment!
