Help me give my students an outlet for dramatic play--they love the Kitchen area and we could benefit from a new kitchen set (play food, pots and pans and some groceries).
Kindergarten is an exciting place to be! The children are generally on the cusp of being confident and independent, as they are completely interested in learning and determined! Our neighborhood is lucky to be diverse and international, this adds so much to our school experience as children have great stories to share with their peers. The learning never stops in class, and we are constantly coming up with new ways to make our day more dynamic by putting some fun into our day!
My Project
Our Kindergarten students love their center time, especially our dramatic play area: the kitchen! They create fun scenarios and recreate family/home life in the classroom. They will also be exposed to different "foods" from the multicultural set (and they will certainly be excited to see some of the foods they eat included in the set).
The new kitchen set will help them explore family and home life and have fun with their classmates!
(Which ties in with our Social Studies unit about families, looking at jobs and responsibilities in the home).
The unifix cubes will be added to our math center, and we use them for counting, measuring, and exploring patterns.
