My Students

My students need your help to convert an empty classroom into an Occupational Therapy gym where they can work on skills such as fine motor, coordination, motor planning, sensory processing, visual processing, and community reintegration in order to be independent in their school environment.

My students face challenges every day.

Most have been diagnosed with Aspergers and often have difficulty maintaining focus, following and understanding directions, problem solving, coordination, motor planning, and sensory processing. In order to better assist these children, we need some supplies for our OT room!

My Project

In order to service our children, we need equipment such as Disc O Sits and weighted vests in order to fulfill their movement/vestibular and deep pressure/proprioceptive needs. Our students can also benefit from other sensory tools such as the air walker- swing to provide them with vestibular input and resistive cuddle loops (tactile, proprioceptive needs).

Over the past 3 months, our students have made significant progress without any tools.
