My Students

Hello! Our students are a unique group of second graders that come from many cultures and academic levels. Being an ICT classroom, some of our students have special needs which creates a wide range of academic and behavior needs.

Our classroom is in high need for materials, especially books, because our students are developing a love for reading!

They are highly motivated and full of energy every day and we would love the opportunity to give them as many resources as we can to help them succeed! Thank you so much for all your support!

My Project

Our second grade students love nonfiction books and some of them include the life cycle of a butterfly. Most of our students don't have the resources or opportunities to go to a butterfly farm, and most have never seen how butterflies are grown. How cool would it be for them to not only learn about it, but actually see it happen in their classroom? I would love for them to experience the magic of seeing the transformation and being responsible for making it happen. I can only imagine the look on their faces when they come back to school and see the butterflies come to life. It would be a great experience; one they would never forget!
