My Students

My students receive free hot breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Many of my students are English Language Learners. They come from households where English is a second language. At home, the English language is rarely spoken, making it challenging for my students to learn and practice the English language. My classroom also services students with disabilities such as children with autism, ADHD, and speech or language impairments. The classroom is a place for these children to feel safe and accepted.

That is my mission every day as a special education teacher.

My Project

We are requesting new colorful, bulletin board paper and border to decorate our classroom. The colors that we chose are soothing yet vibrant colors to make the room feel alive.

Every classroom should feel like home.

A nice home has beautiful décor which is both stimulating and vibrant.

The colors and designs that were chosen were chosen for a reason. My students have disabilities and calm, cooling colors such as the teal, green, gray, and blue promote a soothing effect. The yellow border will add a bit of pop to the other colors to make a beautiful display for their work.
