Our school system is focused on our children, our community, and our future.

We strive to provide an outstanding curriculum, superb faculty and staff, award-winning programs, dedicated athletic and academic teams, and a vibrant community that supports the school system.

Established in 1897, ours is the oldest public school district in the state. Located just east of Tulsa near Fort Gibson Lake, the rural district serves around 2,500 students. Our district consists of six sites: 3 elementary, 1 intermediate, 1 middle school, and 1 high school.

Our mission to create an environment in which students can acquire the skills and develop the attitudes necessary to become lifelong learners and productive, responsible citizens.

Together we try to provide the best possible academic, vocational, recreational, and social skills, enabling students to become valued and contributing members of a changing global society.

My Project

An alternative school is an educational setting designed to accommodate educational, behavioral, and/or medical needs of children and adolescents that cannot be adequately addressed in a traditional school environment. These needs are met using various educational approaches.

Our school uses an online learning program designed to drive student achievement for academic and career success.

Embedded within the program are lectures, activities, and discussions with audio so it is necessary for each student to have headphones in order to process the information they are receiving and apply it to the activity. They can control the volume and use the headphones to block out other noises. This will enhance the environment not only in the classroom, but allow each student to stay focused on their lessons.
