My Project

Hello!

Since the lockdown of 2020, we have moved to almost exclusively online platforms for learning.

These programs all include options for students to have passages and questions read aloud. Unfortunately, we do not have funding for headphones for every child. As you can imagine, 25 students playing recordings out loud all at once is not conducive to an optimal classroom learning environment.

These headphones would benefit all of my students but the largest impact would be for my ESL students. They greatly rely on Spanish translations as they become fluent in English.

As far as the candy, who doesn't love a sweet treat? Every year I spend a lot of money out of pocket on classroom incentives. An incentive as small as a Jolly Rancher can get even the shyest student engaged and willing to take a chance during classroom discussions when they otherwise may have been disengaged.

Thank you in advance for considering this project, making my classroom more equitable with surrounding districts, and also providing my students with a small treat after a 90-minute math class.
