Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are mainly ASD kids and we are a self contained classroom apart from general education. My students require different materials than what their general education peers would have, such as jumbo crayons and pencils for their motor skills. They need activities to do when they are in between tasks to keep themselves active, but busy so they do not disrupt others. We are working on building centers so that they are easy to see, grab, and put back.

My goals for this project are to gather supplies to ensure my students can thrive in their classroom environment while also having fun.

I recently took on this classroom from the previous teacher, and I just noticed the students and the classroom could use a bit more tenderness and love.

My students are very special to me, and to be honest, they deserve the best in their learning environment. These are the sweetest students you will ever meet. They are kind, funny, a great friend, and the best students.
