My Project
Teaching elementary students fine motor skills occurs through so many avenues but my students LOVE making bracelets and often chose bracelet making as their free play or reward activity. They also love to invite their providers and other adults to come make bracelets with them, which fosters compassion and community involvement. Through this project, students will create bracelets while learning about the importance of sharing and community building.
The materials requested, including bracelet-making supplies like beads, string, and fun-themed charms, will enable hands-on learning by allowing students to design and craft meaningful keepsakes.
The bracelets will also serve as a real-world application of their learning, as students share their creations with family and friends to have keepsakes. These activities promote empathy, creativity, and teamwork, helping students make connections between their actions and their impact on the community.
