Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our students are practicing "The 3 B's": Be Respectful, Be Responsible, Be Safe. We teach our students to follow "The 3 B's" not just in the classroom, but in the hallways, the restrooms, the gym, the auditorium, the lunch room, and during after-school programs. Following "The 3 B's" is part of our school-wide PBIS program. PBIS stands for Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports. It is a system that reinforces positive behavior in our students, which leads to improved social-emotional health and academic success. In order to recognize students that follow "The 3 B's", they receive "PBIS Points", and can redeem their points every month at our PBIS store. From teachers to custodians to secretaries to safety agents to after-school counselors, ALL staff members are always on the lookout to reward students for following "The 3 B's".

We need your support stocking our PBIS Store with items that keep students motivated and that they're interested in.

We recently surveyed our 4th graders, and they suggested legos, slime, press-on nails, pop-its, stress balls, gel pens, and so much more! Our goal is to have our PBIS store overflowing with options so that each student can purchase more than one item every month! Our students work hard to earn their PBIS points, so we want to match that energy by providing them a fully-stocked, up-to-date PBIS Store.
