My Students

I have been a kindergarten and Pre-K teacher with Baltimore City public schools for 16 years. I love working with students and their families to build an academic and social-emotional foundation. My students enjoy coming to school for so many reasons. They want to learn, have fun, socialize with new friends, feel safe, be heard, and feel loved. Having 23 four and five-year-olds for all-day pre-k, five days a week can be overwhelming, but seeing their smiling faces as they walk through the door in the morning makes it all worth it.

I am so proud of all the progress my students make during the school year.

Many students come having no prior knowledge or exposure of the skills we learn in class and by the end of the year, they have mastered their skills and more. Having fun, visual and engaging materials plays a big role in mastering Pre-K standards. These materials are very helpful for my ELL (which is usually half my roster) students because they are very visual.

I want to keep guiding students to be lifelong learners and showing them the road to making their dreams a reality.

My Project

These materials will be used in whole group time, intervention small group time, and working as a group in centers (where they practice the skills taught during whole group). These materials are very engaging and visual for all my learners that will be enrolled in my class. These materials will help my students master their pre-k goals and standards. We are building the foundations for successful and lifelong learners.
