My Students

I have 700 elementary students because I am their Art teacher! They enjoy getting messy with different mediums, collaborating with each other and going outside in our Art garden to observe, draw, and paint.

My students who have now graduated told me that I created a safe environment in the classroom and they always felt like they had the freedom to express themselves.

My students are curious and creative and love to learn because I have a passion for teaching that very often can be considered "outside of the box."

My Project

These art supplies will enhance student's passion and skills in painting and observing nature and landscapes. Bob Ross has inspired my students to try painting on canvas with different brushes and supplies. It will challenge their artistic abilities.

This project will embrace finding joy in life and painting, plus it supports social and emotional learning.

Listening to Bob in his soft spoken voice is relaxing and he is so positive and gives words of advice in a humorous way.

They are not afraid of making a mistake, because in Bob's world," There are no mistakes, just happy accidents."
