My Project

A new group of students make their way through a teacher's classroom every year. My goal is to create a classroom that feels welcoming and comfortable for all students who walk through the door. I want students to feel proud of their classroom and love the surroundings that they are in.

The new carpet will help them find spaces to spread out read books and solve math problems with classmates.

The LEGO kit will be fun while providing a great challenge and growth opportunity, plus students LOVE to put together LEGO kits!

I also think it is important to use decorations that can be reused year after year and are suitable for the age range of the students. We tie the plant theme into our lessons all year long by reading books focused on the environment and planting our own flowers and vegetables to take home at the end of the year.
