Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Third Grade is such a huge shift for students to new learning goals and experiences. Students should be greated by a welcoming and engaging setting like the supplies in my project will provide. Using all they have learned up until now, My students will have ample opportunities to show what they know and make connections in collaborative work groups. Through their own creative expression, students will work together to build anchor charts, express their thoughts, share and present with their friends as they work hard so that they can play hard too! At this point, children start to understand more of their social standing in the world so creating a fun, accepting, playful space for them to make mistakes and grow is a huge part of how these supplies will be used.

The supplies in this project directly impact the experiences of the students I serve.

Through the use of cleaning products, Classroom supply staples, and organizational products like bins and shelves, I can provide a well-organized and consistent space for my students to learn and grow. The Large Post-It boards are used for collaborative projects and presentations. This project also includes some classroom art supplies like colored pencils and markers that allow students to be expressive and creative and serve an organizational purpose for my classroom as we utilize a color-coded system. Lastly, games that can build strong relationships while also developing skills necessary for students Social Emotional Learning Goals will greatly benefit my third graders and their experiences this year in the classroom.
