My Project

The Family Community Engagement is inviting all students in pre-kindergarten through 8th grade to bring one special person to our first Super Hero Dance. Children can bring an important adult in their lives, a parent, guardian or older sibling, to be their partner for an evening of food, games, prizes, raffles, a photo booth and dancing. This teaches them that we value our school community.

The event is scheduled for 6 to 8:00 p.m.

Thursday, February 15th, in the gym at our school.

This event allows inclusivity, whereas previously there have been events for boys and their mothers and a daddy-daughter dance, but we decided it was more inclusive to have one special event for all students in Pre-K-8.

This event would draw more than 200 people. In addition to the superhero decor, there will be capes and masks available in the photo booth for students and adults who come as they are.

We want to have capes and mask for everyone as well as super hero decorations.

This event will provide a chance for students to bond with someone they see as a role model. Everyone’s schedule is so busy that to have an opportunity to spend time one on one with someone our students admire, it’s important to carve out that time.
