Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The paint and supplies listed here will be used to benefit the whole school. We will use the dropcloth to protect the floors of the hallway as we beautify the walls with painted murals that are inspiring and reference Art History, Pop Culture, and more.

The students creating the murals learn hands on the life skills they may need as adults, including group dynamics and leadership skills, geometry and grid enlargement, painting and design skills, and how to speak about art and themselves.

The rest of the school benefits by having bright, inspiring, and optimistic class and hallway environments throughout the school campus. New students find their classes by the landmark wall art, and current students discuss their favorite pieces. Art students are excited to have their input in their surroundings and put together proposals for new artwork.
