Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This school year 2024-2025, our C. Bulldogs won 1st Place in our Brownsville Independent School District annual Elementary Battle of the Books. They read 4 books total ranging in complexity. Their win was an absolute honor to our C. Elementary Campus and we feel extremely blessed to having helped in developing stamina and focus for our students. As we continue, we would like to develop Goodie Bags that will inspire this year's winning students as well as next year's BOB team to continue with the same motivation and effort. Our project includes the purchase of books that students need to prepare for next year's competition. It also includes a reading buddy plushy to encourage them to read. It will enable them to begin their school year prepared with the tools that they need in order to start their reading BOB journey. We would appreciate any assistance given and applaud all efforts made to ensure that students continue feeling motivated and successful in their reading skills.
