My Students
Help us stay charged! We have great resources in the classroom, but they all need batteries.
The students in my classroom are preschoolers ages three through five on the autism spectrum.
Our class is a part of a Title 1 high-poverty public elementary school. All of my students love school and enjoy learning. Things that make sound and or light up are huge motivators for them.
My Project
Rechargeable batteries and a charger will keep our classroom running and help keep our environment clean. The batteries will keep communication devices, Tag readers, and "cause & effect" learning toys working. Each year I buy boxes and boxes of batteries to keep these things going getting rechargeable ones would mean fewer batteries in landfills and less money spent.
It is very difficult to tell a child with autism that something does not work because it needs batteries.
These resources will help keep my students happy and on the path to success.
