Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

About My Students

The students that have submitted this project are members of the school's 11th-grade student government. Their names are Ricardo and Noa and they both work hard to better our school. These two students are determined not just to improve their grade, but the school as a whole. They are energetic and excited about the new school year and are helping it change for the better. The students are very determined and hardworking. They are involved in various extracurricular activities. Along with having students who are incredibly involved, our students take pride in their atmosphere. The students tend to always be nice and welcoming to each other with great attitudes. The students love their school and would love to make it even better.

With the paint purchased, students will be allowed to draw murals that inspire the student body. An environment will be created where people want to walk around the school and admire the works of art of their peers. The brushes and canvases will be used to express the students' ideas and imagination. The Cricut Explore Air 2 Mint will be used to create original shapes and drawing to put up around. Also, the Brown Kraft Paper Roll will be utilized to draw and cut out figures that will enrich our school's view.

The school will reflect the people's spirit and love for their community. Anyone who walks into MAST Academy will feel the spirited vibe that we are trying to promote.

In Their Own Words

What we are trying to do with this project is make a better school by getting the students themselves to be involved and really care about the state of our own school. The only way we are gonna maintain the school’s beauty is by really caring and working on it.

I will use this leadership opportunity to bond with my peers. This would be a great opportunity to make our school have its full potential visually. This opportunity would be great to see how we can all come together to care about our school. I have never seen the school spirit as high as this!

This project is important for my school community and I because I believe that the atmosphere will be happier when the school bathrooms look better. This project will be an amazing addition to the school, as well the project will also solve the problem of our school having decrepit bathrooms. I look forward to fixing the bathrooms and making them beautiful!
