The music students are a group of driven individuals who are working hard to develop their leadership skills along with their musicianship.
This program has experienced some major changes in the last few years with a significant number of teachers which has created some lack in consistency recently, but the students are resilient and just as driven to succeed despite the challenges.
They deserve the best equipment possible in order for them to show off their skills. Our budget can only cover so much each year and we are working hard to rebuild the program.
My Project
As with many aspects of music, replacements for worn out instruments or accessories are often expensive. Our marching bass drums are in dire need of replacement.
In order for our students to highlight how hard they have worked on playing their music, the instrument needs to sound good.
New heads will help showcase their hard work over the last few months. The students are excited about their show this year and though the size of the band has decreased, we hope that our sound inspires others to join us in the upcoming years. If we sound good, through hard work and replacement equipment, we are confident that others in our program will help enhance the program.
