Basketballs Needed For P.E., Afterschool, And Summer Program
My students need 30 basketballs to effectively learn, practice, and develop the fundamental skills of passing, dribbling, and shooting in order to compete at a high level.

My Students
We currently have 4 basketballs, of which 3 are continuously going flat because of the peeled lining on the balls. In classes of 28, we often have students doing more spectating than participating due to the lack of equipment.
My students are a very eager group of kids that love sports.
They're always trying to find a way to get extra practice time with ever sport they're learning. My students practice being team players and showing good sportsmanship at all times. They are also very competitive, but understands that losing is a part of the game and quitting is never an option.
My Project
Once we receive the equipment, students will be have the opportunity to learn, practice, and develop the skills necessary to execute a proper overhead pass, chest pass, bounce pass, left hand dribble, right hand dribble, figure 8 dribble, spider dribble, 2 ball dribbling drills, cross over dribble, and proper shooting form.
You can make a difference because with this equipment, I will be able to start an after school basketball program for kids in grades Kinder through 5th, a summer camp for kids ages 3 to 14, and effectively teach classes during the regular school hour.
The afterschool and summer program will give high school students the opportunity to gain community service, learning hours by volunteering as a coach's assistant by helping to develop the fundamental skills of those who are less skillful.
