This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our Physical Education program focuses on students getting in the best shape possible, as well as making sure they are physically active. Whether it comes from cardiovascular, strength training, or games/activities, we strive to provide every student with a healthy lifestyle.

Our school focuses on families with low incomes and tries to give each student the education they deserve.

While we do not have much, the students use the materials they are given and do the very best they can with them.

My Project

My school is about to begin the new basketball season and both the Coach and the players are excited for the upcoming year. However, due to unforeseen circumstances, the basketball hoop we have completely broke during the summer. It leaves us at a huge disadvantage for the students to be able to practice for the season. And we don't want the students to miss the season due to a lack of resources.

If we cancel the season, it gives one less activity for the students to do after school, and I do not want that to happen.

We are a school that helps low income students, and a after school activity like basketball can help students stay out of the streets, and get up and exercise. It helps them learn teamwork, trust, and have fun with their fellow teammates.
