My Project

I am requesting adapted basketball hoops for our special education gym. Our gym currently has a hoop that 90% of our students can not reach because of their disability. These hoops will help to improve regular participation in physical activity and will help students develop motor skills, muscle strength, and overall fitness. The hoops will also increase social interaction: Students will have more opportunities for positive social interaction with peers, building friendships, and improving communication.

Additionally, it will enhance emotional well-being by allowing my students to engage in a successful and enjoyable sport can significantly boost a child’s self-esteem and mental health.

The introduction of basketball hoops designed for special needs students will significantly enhance the educational experience for our students, offering them a unique opportunity to develop physical, social, and emotional skills in an inclusive, supportive setting. Your support will help foster a sense of belonging and achievement among students who are often marginalized in traditional sports environments. With your help, we can create a space where every student has the opportunity to succeed, no matter their ability. Please support this cause. Thank you.
