My Students

Our students are eager to learn, ready to work hard, and high achieving. We live in a very small rural high poverty town, and our high school is full of hardworking young men and women. Our students are student council leaders, computer science classes, online learners,accounting, Spanish, and newspaper students. These students complete projects on a daily basis. We also have student council projects and beta club tasks with 100+ members. We complete numerous things on a daily basis and need this project to make us more efficient and higher achieving. Several students do not have access to any form of technology and this project would allow us to help them be both productive as well as included. This curriculum is so vital to keeping ours students moving in the right direction and able to keep up with the changing demands and applications being used.

My Project

Help me give my students the basics to start our year off right. We will be completing Career Projects, Self-Marketing assignments, as well as having celebrations for success with these supplies. Having supplies such as a pencil sharpener and a pick me up with something as little as a peppermint to start the day makes all the difference in being successful. We use lots of colored paper to make projects for our local nursing home. We print our school newspaper and need colored paper for that too. Adults have what we need to get our day completed positively and I want to give my students the same opportunity. Letting them make drinks is so small but starts their day off positively. School should be fun and exciting, and small changes can help me do just that. Something like candy on a perfect paper means a lot to low income students. This project will allow us to be creative, make things brighter and something to be used for job searching, as well as be something to keep for future use. To Some this project may seem silly, but to some students this may be what they need to get their day going and know they are important!
