My Students

Creating the next generation of thinkers, my students come from all different cultures and challenges facing them every day. They are from an eastern city in Massachusetts that has a high poverty level. It’s wonderful to see their smiling faces ready and eager to learn.

My Project

The supplies on this project will be used in the classroom and also to help provide the students with some basic supplies. The materials used in the classroom such as whiteboards will give the students the opportunity to either use paper or the whiteboard. I've noticed that some students are more willing to work with a white board then on paper because it's more exciting for them. There will also to a file system for any missing work a student may need for when they are absent. The can easily access any paperwork needed.

Since school has started, I've noticed the several of my students are missing basic supplies.

Many of them are having a difficult time to keep their paperwork organized. As part of the request is folders, that I will be able to give to my students to keep their classwork in an orderly fashion. Also, there are some more general supplies such as paper and pencil sharpeners. Many of the students do not have paper with them, so having a supply on hand is very helpful for them to be able to take notes as well as write and do out problems.
