Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Being in a Title 1 school, all my students are underprivileged and come from low income homes and they don't come to school with needed supplies. The school district cuts have been tremendous this year and we have little to no supplies.

My students are an enthusiastic group of fourth graders.

They live in a very poverty struck area but still come to school with a positive attitude to learn. Our classroom has become more of a family where the students feel comfortable with each other and feel safe there.

My Project

The students will use the basic supplies to complete assignments each and every day. Most students do not come to school with the required materials so I have had to supply them with the supplies and sometimes I struggle to do that. Some students have told me that they did not do their homework because they didn't have paper and pencils at home to complete it.

Having these basic supplies in my classroom will allow for the students to complete everyday assignments.

The wont have to worry about having a pencil to write with, paper to write on, and a folder to keep their assignments. These supplies will allow for the students to get through the rest of the school year and complete fourth grade.
