My Project

I am requesting support for our special education classroom by restocking essential supplies that significantly contribute to the success of our students with special needs. Our classroom serves a diverse group of students who benefit from a structured, organized, and accessible learning environment. The requested supplies include headphones, whiteboards, calculators, folders, and binders. These materials will help create a learning space that fosters independence, engagement, and effective learning for our students, many of whom require additional support to stay focused and organized.

My students struggle to keep organized and needs specific supplies to help them stay focused and on task.

Headphones are essential for helping students with sensory sensitivities focus during individual work or when listening to audio-based lessons. Whiteboards enable students to engage actively in lessons, providing them with the opportunity to practice skills, visualize concepts, and participate in interactive activities. Calculators are necessary for students who struggle with basic arithmetic and need additional support for mathematics activities. The organization of their materials, such as folders and binders, helps students develop executive functioning skills and manage their assignments effectively. These supplies are not just academic tools; they are crucial to creating a classroom environment where all students feel empowered and supported.

The cost of these items add up and without external funding, we struggle to keep these essential supplies readily available for our students. By receiving these supplies, we would be able to provide our students with the resources they need to thrive academically. We are committed to creating an inclusive and supportive classroom environment where every student has the tools necessary to succeed, and this grant would play a pivotal role in making that a reality.
