Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our Special Education program, which includes students who are in the Deaf/Hard of Hearing (DHH) program, serves students in grades K thru 8th grade. Due to the combined effects of specific learning disabilities, hearing loss, speech and language delays, physical limitations, and experiential shortages in social cues and academics, our special education students require continuous monitoring and academic assistance.

Our students struggle daily with receptive and expressive language.

However, no matter the challenges facing them, our students are always eager to explore the many facets of education. As a teacher in Special Education, I make it a priority to find the most effective ways in which to reach all my students while providing them all available resources needed inside and outside of the classroom.

My Project

My classroom needs a few basic supplies to get us through the school year. First and foremost we NEED more pencils and pens to complete daily classwork and projects. My students also need giant alphabet beads and alphabet learning locks for letter recognition practice. Magnetic dots will help in posting anchor charts for student reinforcement.

All basic school supplies are needed and welcome.

There are quite a few items that are needed in making a classroom function successfully. We need construction paper, copier paper, portable scanner, big glue sticks, LC103 brother toner, and so much more. We have six special education classrooms that can use supplies. Thank you.
