My Students

My students and I are blessed to learn at a beautiful, rural school in South Carolina. While the outside may look like your typical elementary school, you will quickly feel the difference once you walk through our front entrance. We are on the positive energy bus. My students are learning that they can drive their own "bus" by creating a positive vision and "driving" with a purpose. They are learning to transform their negativity and "fuel their ride" and others with positive energy!

While many of my students have faced obstacles and challenges in and out of school, they are learning the power of positive energy!

We celebrate success as a classroom family and encourage each other to try our best every day. If you entered our classroom, you would hear us excited to learn by shouting, "Yes, Yes, Yes" and cheering our classmates on with our Energy Bus Cheer, "You're Awesome, You're the Best, You Rock!" We have worked hard to create a positive, supportive classroom family where all students are encouraged and supported to try something new. My students love to learn and share their learning with others. It is truly a great place to learn!

My Project

My kindergarten students learn best by using all of their senses. We create, glue, color, and more to connect to our learning throughout the day.

My students have had a busy few months of creating and learning but now our supplies are quickly dwindling.

Many crayons have been loved and used until there is no more paper left. I have found many students laying on the floor with just a tiny piece of crayon that fits between their fingers trying their best to color. Often, my students write about their families and I emphasize the importance of using realistic colors. Unfortunately, the crayons that we have do not match the needs of my students. Once we have completed our work, they love to hang up their creations so we are in need of the tape that will stick to our block walls. We still have a busy, few months of learning in front of us. We are going to be learning about our country, plants, insects and more.

We are in need of new crayons, construction paper, supply caddies and tape to hang up our work. Please help me refill their supplies so we can continue to create to connect to our learning!
