My Project

The requested items will provide my students with some of the basic materials needed to delve into the solving of mathematical problems. Students spend too much time on electronics over the course of an average day.

However, especially in mathematics, students need to use paper/pencil and other concrete materials to explore mathematical concepts.

Students need to collaborate to help solidify new concepts. They must argue and share their thinking to help them learn that problems can be approached from multiple directions while arriving at the same solution.

This not only helps students to succeed in mathematics, it also helps them to analyze other perspectives and ideas.
