This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach at an inner city school. We are a Title l school which means 98% of the students receive free or reduced-price lunch. Many of my students are English Language Learners and they are one year below grade level.

My students are enthusiastic about school and represent many different backgrounds.

My students have a true thirst for learning. They are eager to please and do well in class. My goal is to offer them the right opportunities to foster their math and literacy skills, creativity, and a love for learning.

My Project

The supplies I am requesting for this project are consumable classroom basics! The Crayola crayons, stickers, pencils, erasers, and copy paper are essential basic supplies used by my students every day. These supplies are used by my students to complete daily academic tasks in the areas of literacy, math, science, and social studies.

School requires basic supplies daily for each student!

Many first grade standards require students to create projects and record evidence of their understanding by using basic consumable supplies. My students use these supplies every day in their literacy and math journals. The supplies I am requesting need to be available for each student.
