My Students

My students are amazing! They are creative, caring, and fun...and they LOVE to learn! Our school is located in the metro Detroit area and many students reside in low-income, single-parent households. Each and every one of my students are my inspiration to create a loving, safe, and structured classroom environment.

My Project

Each item in my project serves a specific purpose in my classroom.

Many students have come to school this year without the necessary supplies needed for learning.

Binders and divider tabs - this is how we organize our papers for core subject areas: notes, resources, graded work, etc.

Pencils - we go through an astronomical amount of pencils and many kids do not bring any to school

Tape - helps us construct our interactive notebooks

Highlighters and sticky notes - helps us analyze what we are reading

Colorful pens - these help us self-check our work to provide immediate feedback
