Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

At my school, 100% of the students are below the poverty line. This means basic classroom supplies for students to be successful need to come from donations. Normally, families help donate items but with so many families having a low socioeconomic status they are not able to help. Helping provide us with notebooks, glue, iPad charging stations, and tissues will help students have devices charged, and basic classroom supplies for success. The paper bins will help keep papers organized as students turn in assignments. They will allow each class to have their colored paper bin for their work. Also, to help make the classroom student-friendly, I would like to offer flexible seating like a futon and beanbag chairs for my students to help make their learning environment comfortable. All of these supplies will help students focus on our many learning targets.
