Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are motivated and hard-working, but they often fall behind because they do not have access to basic school materials. For instance, my students typically do not come to school with a pencil. Since I teach 150 of them, it is not realistic for me to buy enough pencils to last them through the school year. Also, I teach pre-algebra and algebra. Graphing is a substantial part of the curriculum. However, my school often does not have graphing paper or graphing whiteboards for the students to practice on, leaving them attempting to draw their own graph paper on blank sheets of printer paper. This is ineffective and inhibitive to their learning. Donating to this project will help me get the necessary supplies for them.
