Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As we start a new year and our final semester of the school year, we are also introducing more hands-on activities. Students will be working on blackout poetry, publishing a class poetry book, recreating a digital movie of the play Hamlet, and finishing the year strong before they graduate. Donated items will support these lessons. For instance, power outlets will help by providing charging stations for students' Chromebooks, black markers will be used for blackout poetry, and glue sticks and rulers will be used for our Valentine's Day acrostic poem in a bag activity.

My goal for this project is to supply students with the basic materials they need to complete their hands-on projects this semester.

My students love hands-on activities. Even though they are high school seniors, they genuinely enjoy creative, crafty assignments. I’m excited to see what they come up with using all the donations we receive.
