My Students

I teach a group of amazing and loving 7 to 10 year boys and girls with Autism and other intellectual disabilities in a district 75 school where students heavily rely on printed visuals and reward system to accomplish their tasks, communicate their needs/wants, engage in peer interactions, actively engage in instruction to show progress.

Limited funding due to COVID has placed a hurdle to provide printed and color-coded visuals, communication boards, and a visual rewards system to effectively meet the needs of every student.

Your support will make it possible for my students to thrive and learn during this on-going pandemic!

My students love to learn and engage in visually motivating books, with visual boards to engage in QnAs with their peers and express their opinions using color-coded texted and pictures.

My Project

My students require color coded individualized schedules to help them transition between activities and classes.

My students needs visual boards that need to be printed so they can communicate their basic needs and wants and to engage in peer to peer interactions.

They depend on a highly motivating reward system (e.g. toys, drawing, coloring, legos, etc.) that to engage in less desirable core curriculum.

Additionally, they enjoy using post its to write or draw their answer choices to engage in less desirable core curriculum.
