My Project

My school has 1,350+ students, most of whom are low-income, new to this country and/or dealing with extremely challenging home lives, including, but not limited to hunger and hygiene issues. I can only buy so many boxes of granola bars & deodorant, per paycheck. This food will be used to provide free snacks and lunches to our most needy students. The deodorant will be given away, upon request, to anyone in need. Some students sneak and whisper to me that they need one. But to have them available on a shelf for the taking, discretion is even easier for them.

Our youth need their basic needs to be met, if they are to be able to learn and grow.

The Peer Mediation Program feeds children upon request, in an effort to decrease tempers and increase comfort levels among our hungry children. We also provide art supplies, hygiene tools, and whatever we possibly can.
