Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

KIPP KC is a very special place. The secret ingredient is: kids who feel like they have everything they need to succeed in ways that fulfill them. Students at KIPP deserve the absolute best, not only from their academic experience, but also from their school environment and culture. I believe strongly that a school culture of support, preparedness, and kindness can make anything possible for any and all students, starting with having everything one needs to succeed.

With your support and generosity, I can make sure that my students have access to basic needs like toothbrushes, combs, snacks, and water beginning on their first day of school.

Some of the other items will also help create a welcoming space for students to retreat to and an organized area for the best learning possible.
