My Students

My sweet first grade students come from a variety of backgrounds, cultures, and home situations. Some live in poverty and are English Language Learners. They are kind, compassionate, energetic children who love learning. They learn best when they can sing, create, and work together to solve problems. I strive to make our classroom community feel like a family and provide them with creative and meaningful learning experiences. My students are special because they genuinely care for each other and want to see each other succeed.

My Project

My students LOVE technology. I have found some amazing apps and educational resources that we can use with our classroom iPads to make learning fun, engaging, and effective for students while they are working in math or literacy stations. However, we don't have a few of the important supplies we need. My students need an iPad charging station so that we can keep our iPads in a central location within the classroom, so that students can plug and unplug iPads themselves, and so that their materials are always charged and ready for them to use. We also need a few rugged iPad cases so that our awesome technology stays safe and in working order for years to come!
